Ceremonial Turnover: Statue of St. Mazzarello by FMA Sisters

The FMA Sisters, formally known as the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco, made a generous contribution to our statue collection on campus with the addition of St. Maria Domenica Mazzarello during the ceremonial turnover held today, October 9, 2025, at the Don Bosco Makati Heritage Museum.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Student Government of the Senior High School, as well as the Women for Women Organization, which consists of our female Bosconians. Additionally, representatives from the school’s Pastoral Ministry were present.

Sister Maria Josefina Carrasco, FMA, shared a brief narrative on the life of St. Mazzarello and her connection to St. John Bosco, emphasizing their common devotion to Mary, Help of Christians. This dedication ultimately led to the establishment of the 𝐹𝑖𝑔𝑙𝑖𝑒 𝑑𝑖 π‘€π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘–π‘Ž π΄π‘’π‘ π‘–π‘™π‘Žπ‘‘π‘Ÿπ‘–π‘π‘’ (FMA), commonly referred to as the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.

Furthermore, the FMA Sisters donated a small statue of Blessed Laura VicuΓ±a and encouraged the attendees to pray for her canonization.

Following the formal proceedings, the FMA Sisters, alongside the Women for Women Organization and the Student Government, engaged in meaningful conversation over a delightful meal.

We extend our gratitude to the FMA Sisters for bestowing upon us the presence of St. Mazzarello.
