LMPs’ Recollection 2022

Last August 16, 2022, the lay mission partners had their SY 2022-2023 opening recollection at the Joy Center with the theme: “Salesian Synodality: It takes an EPC to form a Bosconian.” The program started with a short prayer followed by welcoming remarks from the school’s rector, Fr. Favie Faldas, SDB. The lay mission partners were excited and enthusiastic about the ice breaker prepared by the Guidance and Counseling Services cluster headed by Mr. Angelito Clavero, III.

Fr. Bobby Roxas, SDB, Rector of the Provincial House initiated St. John Bosco’s 207th birthday anniversary celebration. He also shared his reflections about synodality in the context of Salesian spirituality.

Fr. Cyril Noel, SDB, Spiritual Moderator of the Elementary Department, highlighted the practice of Salesian Synodality at Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati. The Principal of the Junior High School, Mr. Darwin Buensuceso, gave his testimony as a lay mission partner about working with the EPC members and his family spirit experience. Fr. Cyril affirmed the vital role of each EPC member-Salesians, lay mission partners, parents, guardians, and Bosconians in forming a bosconian.

The recollection concluded with the celebration of the holy Mass which was celebrated by Fr. Ulysess Rimbawa, SDB, Director for the Administration. The lay mission partners made their EPC pledge and offered how they could contribute to the institution’s synodality and family spirit during the mass. Indeed, the LMPs’ recollection became the venue where the lay mission partners recommitted to the mission entrusted by St. John Bosco in forming Bosconians to be saints and heroes of this time.
