The Educative Pastoral Community of Don Bosco Makati expressed their profound love for the Blessed Mother during this year’s Marian Pilgrimage, journeying to the Parish and National Shrine of St. Padre Pio in Santo Tomas, Batangas.
This annual tradition was made even more special with the participation of Grade 5 to 12 students, alongside their siblings from the TVET Center, as they strengthened the bonds of the EPC through this meaningful experience.
Much like our patron, St. John Bosco, Padre Pio held a deep admiration and devotion to Mary. He kept his motto, “Mary is the foundation of my hope,” in his cell, reminding us that true Christian hope is found in her maternal embrace. He stands as a living testament to Marian faith.
Bosconians, Lay Mission Partners, and parents alike braved the early morning, the long journey, and the rain to embody the essence of the pilgrimage—a faith-filled journey with God as our ultimate destination.
Our Rector, Fr. Jerry Santos SDB, presided over the Mass, with Fr. Ramil Maranan, SDB, Director for Pastoral Ministry, and Fr. Cyril Vincent Noel, SDB, Director for Administration, concelebrating. In his homily, Fr. Jerry emphasized the beauty of sacrifice, challenging the EPC to bring their burdens to the Lord in pursuit of a fruitful and joyful life. Like St. Padre Pio and St. John Bosco, the beauty of sacrifice uplifts the lives of our beloved.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all Bosconians, Lay Mission Partners, and dear parents for honoring the Blessed Mother through this challenging yet rewarding pilgrimage. May this journey deepen our connection to our Heavenly Father as we grow in our Catholic faith.
Viva Maria!
